Eindhoven | October 2025 - April 2026
Dutch Design Week 2025 marked the first public presentation of Materia Futura, showcasing experimental biomaterials and compostable embellishment concepts while gathering valuable feedback from designers, researchers, and industry professionals.
The installation remains on display until Spring 2026 as part of the exhibition Basic Instinct: Beauty and Symbiosis as a Necessity - an invitation to witness how sustainable materials can shimmer, breathe, and inspire.
Munich | January 2026
At Munich Fabric Start, Materia Futura was part of the Sustainable Innovations Area at KEYHOUSE, curated by Simon Angel. Alongside other textile artists and designers, we presented materials developed during our first research phase together with new explorations, including two large woven pieces featured in the exhibition.
In addition to the showcase, we invited visitors to engage directly with our material leftovers through an open workshop format, where they could weave, create jewellery, and sew organic sequins, exploring creativity through hands-on interaction and tactility.
Eindhoven | February 2026
At the EVH Innovation Café Tech & Design Meetup in Eindhoven, we joined an open and informal gathering of designers, technologists, and innovators to exchange ideas around biomaterials and responsible design.
As invited speakers, we shared the vision behind Materia Futura in a public conversation and livestreamed discussion, exploring how expressive biomaterials can reshape our relationship with sustainable materials.
